SICUREZZA 2025 — The Media Monolith & Spatial Boundary - MILANO 2025
Context & Challenge
Building directly upon the structural framework of the 2023 edition, the 2025 iteration demanded an evolution centered on spatial protection and media amplification. The brief required expanding the hospitality zone, significantly boosting the digital and graphic footprint, and architecturally shielding the massive technical equipment display from the chaotic ambient traffic of the fairgrounds without closing off the space completely.
Spatial & Technical Execution
The 5-Meter LED Monolith: The front facade of the 5-meter-high central tower was radically transformed into a massive, continuous vertical LED wall. This monolithic digital surface replaced standard structural branding, maximizing crowd attraction through high-impact motion content and dynamic video storytelling.
Achromatic Light Optimization: The 2023 backlit walls were entirely removed to eliminate any luminous interference with the new high-brightness LED screens. In their place, AVNTGARD engineered an upper boxed fascia band (fascia superiore scatolata) wrapping the layout, equipped with precise recessed technical spotlights (faretti ad incasso) to cleanly illuminate the static graphic walls.
The Ground Boundary: The identical architectural language of the boxed fascia was mirrored onto the floor to construct a physical perimeter around the exhibition zone. This custom ground framework systematically alternated upward-pointing spotlights and integrated biophilic planters, effectively screening the space from the outer aisles while creating a dramatic, uplit protective boundary.
Expanded Hospitality Sanctuary: By re-engineering the spatial boundaries, the warm parquet-floored reception and meeting area was structurally expanded, allowing for high-density corporate hospitality within a protected, visually controlled environment.
Result
A sophisticated, media-driven evolution of a proven spatial asset. By replacing flat luminous surfaces with a towering 5-meter cinematic engine and inventing a dual-purpose light-and-greenery perimeter system, AVNTGARD successfully insulated the technical demonstration zone from fairground friction while delivering unmatched brand dominance.
