LINEA — Monolithic Multi-Material Kitchen System - 2020

The Concept:

Industrial product design for "LINEA," a high-end kitchen concept engineered to achieve a precise equilibrium between Form, Function, and Materiality. Shifting away from the traditional paradigm of the kitchen as a mere food-preparation zone, LINEA is conceived as a 360-degree multi-functional hub. It acts as a primordial yet refined architectural anchor within the space, designed for simultaneous preparation, consumption, and social interaction.

Material & Structural Composition:
Dekton Central Monolith: A massive, sculpted core volume that forms the foundational base of the island, selected for its high performance and raw, primordial aesthetic.
Solid Wood Interface: A premium solid wood surface integrated seamlessly over the stone monolith, functioning as the tactile plane for user interaction and culinary preparation.
Heavy-Gauge Iron Exoskeleton: A structural perimeter shell fabricated from thick sheet metal (8-10 mm). This component performs a dual role: it serves as the primary load-bearing framework ensuring the unit's static balance, while cleanly wrapping and concealing secondary forms to maintain an uncompromised linear silhouette.
Integrated Chromatic Lighting: A calculated, warm lighting system designed to frame the entire architectural volume. The illumination dynamically accentuates different structural planes and material textures based on the user's viewpoint.
Structural Adaptability
The project has been fully engineered in an ultra-minimalist "Black" edition. However, the underlying spatial and material logic is designed to adapt seamlessly to alternative architectural finishes and colorways while preserving its core linear identity.
